Weather disruption update
FRIDAY 15 OCTOBER
UPDATE: Good progress has been made clearing a backlog of freight. We expect to complete any delayed deliveries by the weekend with a return to normal network services and schedules from Monday 18 October.
Many thanks for your patience.
THURSDAY 14 OCTOBER
The conditions in Cook Strait are improving after gale force southerlies cancelled all sailings and caused delays to inter-island and other deliveries yesterday.
The first Bluebridge sailing has left Wellington at 8am but conditions are still rough and sailing times are expected to be longer than usual.
We’re still estimating significant delays in services due to the disruption and the backlog now of freight affected by yesterdays cancellations. We’d ask for your patience and understanding that it’s still too early for our teams to be able to provide firm ETAs in many cases.
We expect to have a clearer picture by early afternoon.
