Our people, many with decades of experience, make the difference in the services we offer.
We have some of the industry’s most long-standing operational personnel in our ranks, from our depot and dispatch teams to our dedicated drivers, most of whom are Hall’s employees.
All up we have over 730 people nationwide working in our branch offices, depots, yards, stores and our support office.
Like the senior leaders in the business, they put customers at the heart of what they do.

In the logistics business it’s always the unexpected that can catch you out no matter how well planned and prepared.
Keeping cool under pressure is part of the job and so is prevention – which is why Hall’s has its own workshop to manage and maintain our fleet. Clint Pearce is our National Fleet & Refrigeration Maintenance Lead and has the responsibility of helping keep our fleet - and customer product - at its peak. Part of his role is driving education for our drivers and operations teams on making sure products in our care, are kept at optimum temperature. Clint also leads the charge on finding the latest, environment-friendly technology in fridges for our fleet.
But it’s not just the nuts and bolts of the job he thinks about. What he’s most proud of, he says, is how Hall’s is responding to serving customer needs when it comes to food safety.
“New Zealand is moving towards a much more rigid system of food safety and as Hall’s Group are a major operator in industry, we are constantly improving our systems and processes to ensure we are ready for the challenges that these changes will bring. We’re in a strong position to meet, and in some cases exceed the requirements.”
He works with ‘great people’ at Hall’s, he says, and every day brings a new challenge. If you ask him what we do better than anyone else, the answer is all about approach. “Hall’s has a “can do” attitude. I mean people here go to try to make things happen for our customers that other transport companies may not. We pride ourselves on constantly looking for improvement in everything we do and I’m like everyone – I take a lot of pride in doing a good job.”
The knowledge, perspective and focused attitude of our people right across the business is there for our customers’ benefit, and is one of the key advantages of working with Hall’s.
