Network delays due to weather disruption
The forecast southerly swells in Cook Strait have led to the cancellation of all ferry sailings today, with cancellations as well into tomorrow morning.
This means we have no ability to move freight between the islands, and the disruption is regrettably causing delays in not only inter-island freight but also across some other network services with fleet or drivers impacted.
Conditions on Cook Strait are expected to worsen throughout today and at this stage there’s no guarantee when sailings will resume tomorrow.
We appreciate you’ll have questions on the impact of this on your deliveries, but unfortunately we are not able to provide revised ETAs at this stage and due to these circumstances out of our control it could be Friday or later before any backlog is fully cleared.
We will be in touch with customers where we can but please keep an eye here on our Service Updates page for further general information.
