Road closure north of Wellington

Transport teams are waiting to see how long it might take to clear debris after flooding and a slip has closed the south bound lane of State Highway one just out of Wellington.

Trucks have been asked to park up and wait for the closure to be lifted - at this stage we have one truck affected by the slip which is near Paekakariki.

We expect emergency services will be able to clear the lane in good time, but if not we’ll post a further update here.
