NORTHLAND POWER OUTAGE
Earlier today, it was reported that the Northland region was without power due to a fallen transmission tower.
There is currently no confirmation from Transpower on how long the region-wide power outage will continue, and as at 3:30pm today, the Far North District Council has decided to stand up its Emergency Operations Centre as a precautionary measure.
The outage is affecting many public services and traffic lights.
While most of our deliveries were completed, our operations teams have been in direct contact with customers, working with them and understanding their generator power availability, and doing what we can to support their freight.
Until power is restored, we are not able to proceed with deliveries to affected customers. We will continue to monitor the situation and update our website (as well as contact impacted customers directly).
Update Monday 24 June (9:46am)
Northland power services were resumed by Friday morning, with minimal disruption to Hall’s services.
