SH3 Awakino Gorge

  • Reopening as of 6.00pm.

  • Single lane and stop/ go management in place

  • The road remains closed between Taumarunui and Whangamomoana until atlease Monday 27 July at 1.00 pm

  • Stratford to Whangamomoana remains open.

Following this mornings earthquake, there have been a number of road closures and traffic disruptions affecting parts of the Taranaki region.

Our teams are closely monitoring the situation and will provide updates as soon as additional information is available. Both roads have been closed due to slips and will remain closed until further notice.
