Network delays due to Cook Strait ferry disruption
We regret to advise that there’ll be some unavoidable delays in our network services as a result of high winds which have impacted ferry sailings into Picton.
Bluebridge ferries are currently four hours behind and we have been advised that both Inter islander, and Bluebridge have been unable to berth in Picton. Several return ferry sailings have been cancelled.
Even if the situation eases tonight as hoped, this could have an impact across our wider network potentially through to late Friday - with delays to not only inter-island freight but also flow-on effects south and north.
