Delays as winter weather bites
Our teams will be doing all they can to minimise the impact of the latest round of winter weather but delays will be inevitable for some inter-island deliveries affected by cancellations today.
Both companies operating ferries across Cook Strait have cancelled sailings today and further cancellations have already been confirmed for tomorrow morning.
This will mean a minimum 24 and up to 48 hour delay on freight between the North and South Islands.
We’ll have a further update on inter-island services on our website tomorrow afternoon.
The widely forecast cold snap is also disrupting road transport north and south with the Lewis and Porter Passes closed and snow forecast in north Canterbury, southern Marlborough and along the Desert Road.
