BLUEBRIDGE CANCELLATIONS

Current forecasts predict 5m+ average swells on Cook Strait tomorrow, Thursday 21st July, from midday until midnight. This short, sharp weather event may cause delays and/or cancelled sailings tomorrow afternoon and evening.

Please be aware that this may cause potential network delays. We will update the website as we receive more information.

A southerly is forecast to hit the Cook Strait today, will large swells predicted. As a result, the following passenger sailings scheduled for today are cancelled:

Wellington to Picton

  • 1:30 pm

  • 8:30 pm

Picton to Wellington

  • 2:00 pm

  • 7:15 pm

Sailings are likely to resume in the early hours of Friday morning; however, if the large swells continue longer than forecast, further cancellations may occur.

A decision on whether freight-only sailings can operate will be made today.
