24HR DELAYS ACROSS NETWORK
Last week we advised of temporary delays of up to 24hrs across our network and that we expected these delays to be in place until this Friday, 21st October. This is still the case as we head into Labour Weekend, and we thank you for your patience and understanding during this time.
A number of customers have asked how they can help with the current congestion, so we have noted some ‘tips’ below (in addition to what we included in last week’s communication). We would like to draw your attention to the following:
Freight requirements
All freight must be clearly labelled with 'Sender' and 'Receiver' details
If multiple pallets are sent, they must be numbered against the total number of pallets (e.g. if sending five pallets - 1 of 5, 2 of 5, 3 of 5, 4 of 5, 5 of 5)
All packing slips for end receivers need to be securely attached to the pallet and not handed to the drivers
Cut-off times
We ask that you please stick to the cut-off times for placing orders and not make any amends afterwards.
The above are all placing additional strain on our teams and collectively contributing towards delays.
A reminder of how you can help
If possible, we ask that any non-urgent jobs be postponed. Please submit any new pickups as early as possible in the morning or provide us with advanced notice where you can.
We appreciate your support and we’re confident our network will be back to normal soon.
