A New Chapter for Hall’s | Horotiu Officially Opens

Today marks a major milestone for Hall's as we officially open our new Horotiu Cross-Dock Facility in the heart of the Waikato.

Six months ago, this was a bare site. Today, it is a purpose built facility that strengthens our network capability and creates a platform for future growth across the region.

A huge thank you to everyone who played a part in bringing Horotiu to life. From the early planning stages through to construction, fit out and go live, this achievement reflects the expertise, commitment and collaboration of many people working towards a shared goal.

Some impressive numbers behind Phase One of Hall's Horotiu:
❄️ 985 sqm of chilled pallet staging
❄️ 784 chilled pallet positions
❄️ 308 sqm of frozen storage
❄️ 322 frozen pallet positions
❄️ 4,600 sqm of hardstand area
❄️ 178 sqm office and staff amenities facility
❄️ Three operational truck docks, with capacity to expand to six and beyond

And a few fun facts:
❄️ Strategically positioned in one of New Zealand's fastest growing logistics corridors
❄️ Refrigeration capacity equivalent to around 400 household fridges running simultaneously
❄️ Purpose built to support future expansion and network growth
❄️ Delivered from the first turning of the soil to completion in just six months

As Hall's thirteenth site, it further strengthens our nationwide footprint and reflects our continued commitment to investing where our customers and communities need us most.
