SIGNIFICANT DELAYS IN NELSON AREA
As most will be aware there has been a significant weather event in the Nelson Marlborough area. This event has significantly disrupted all movements in and out of Nelson and the surrounding areas.
At this stage all freight into and out of the Tasman and Marlborough area’s will need to transit through Christchurch which will put significant pressure on the network.
Whilst we have put on extra capacity to try to alleviate this pressure we are still expecting delays of 24 to 48 hours into and out of this region. We are expecting the next roading update tomorrow and we will update our website then.
