Updated Monday 18 August (3:20pm)
We have this afternoon received the following notification from BlueBridge regarding ferry cancellations, which will impact our freight movement. Our planners around the country are working through this disruption as best as possible and affected customers will be contacted.
“Another winter southerly is on its way and swells on Cook Strait are likely to exceed operating limits at times across Tuesday and Wednesday, while winds at the ports may also be an issue.
The following sailings are cancelled:
Tuesday 19 August
Wellington to Picton: 2:00 am, 1:30 pm
Picton to Wellington: 7:45 am, 7:15 pm
At this point Livia will sail tomorrow at 8:15 am from Wellington, but conditions mean it is likely to have to remain in Picton after this sailing, with a plan to resume sailing at 2:30 am on Wednesday, subject to conditions. We will aim to confirm this later this afternoon.
Unfortunately, further cancellations on Wednesday are likely and will be confirmed asap. “
