FERRY CANCELLATIONS
We received the following notice from Bluebridge at 6:33pm (Tuesday 5 November)
“Strait Feronia has experienced an engineering issue this evening. The ship is heading to Picton via the Northern Entrance and will berth at approx. 7pm. A technician will join the ship on arrival.
If the repair can’t be facilitated in a timely fashion this may result in the cancellation of tonight’s 7:15 pm and tomorrow morning’s 2:00 am sailings. “
We received the following update from Bluebridge at 8:29pm (Tuesday 5 November)
“Unfortunately the engineering issue on Feronia mean that it is not feasible for the ship to sail this evening.
As a result, the following sailings are cancelled:
Tuesday 5 November
Picton to Wellington 7:15 pm
Wednesday 6 November
Wellington to Picton 2:00 am
The plan is to resume sailing at 7:45 am tomorrow from Picton.”
We received the following update from Bluebridge at 12:29pm (Wednesday 6 November)
“Unfortunately, there has been a reoccurrence of the issue on board Strait Feronia that the team had initially resolved last night. This will require further diagnostic work and potential repairs. The ship can’t sail until this is completed.
As a result, the following sailings are cancelled:
Wednesday 6 November
Wellington to Picton 1:30 pm
Picton to Wellington 7:15 pm”
Please note that these cancellations will impact our freight movement. Our operations team have booked some units to Inter Island for the 6:30pm sailing (Wednesday 6 November). These were originally planned for the 7:15pm Bluebridge sailing (Wednesday 6 November).
