BLUEBRIDGE FERRY DELAYS - 23'FEB

We refer to recent service delay notifications related to the Bluebridge Ferry, specifically:

Website updates 3rd and 12th February (delays and 1 less ferry running)

Email and website update 13th February (1 less ferry running)

Email and website update 14th February (no sailings ex-Wellington on the day)

Website update 20th February (breakdown of ferry and more sailing cancellations)

The following service alert was posted on the Bluebridge website at 3am this morning:

Connemara Cancellations 23 February 2023

Unfortunately, our engineers onboard Connemara have identified further issue relating to the recent engineering problem. The ship will return to Wellington for further investigation and repair work. At this stage, we can’t confirm when Connemara will return to service carrying passengers.

The following sailings have been cancelled for passengers and further cancellations are likely.

Wellington to Picton

8:30 pm (delayed from 22 February)

Picton to Wellington

2:00 pm (delayed from 22 February)

2:30 am (23 February).

Unfortunately, our engineers onboard Connemara have identified a further issue relating to the recent engine problem. The ship is in Wellington for further investigation and repair work. At this stage, we can’t confirm when Connemara will return to service for passengers.

We are not collecting any interisland freight until further notice unless by arrangement. This is due to significant Bluebridge Ferry disruption. Any freight currently in the network will be delayed due to the backlog created by recent Bluebridge Ferry delays. We will be re-assessing the situation on Monday morning (27th February) and will communicate any updates accordingly. Please continue to check our website for further service updates.
