FERRY CANCELLATIONS

Notification received via the Bluebridge website at 11:55am today:

Strong southerlies and large swells are forecast in Cook Strait today, Friday 24 November, lasting until Saturday, midday, 25 November. As a result, the following sailings are cancelled:

Friday 24 November

Wellington to Picton

8:30pm

Picton to Wellington

7:15pm - cancelled for passengers. Operating as a delayed departure for freight only.

Saturday 25 November

Picton to Wellington

2:30am

The next available sailing is Saturday 8:15am at this stage. Please note that these cancellations will impact our network and cause delays.

Notification received via the Interislander website as at 8:30am today:

Weather conditions in the Cook Strait from midday Friday 24 November to midday Sunday 26 November are forecast to deteriorate with strong southerlies and large swells predicted. We are making changes to some bookings to accommodate customers booked on affected sailings.

The 8.30pm Kaitaki sailing from Wellington and the 2.30am return from Picton have been cancelled.

The 6.30pm Kaiarahi sailing from Picton and the 2am return from Wellington have been changed to a freight-only sailing.
