ACCIDENT - WAIOURU

SH1, south of Waiouru, was closed earlier today following a serious crash, reported around 11:05am.

This impacted both north and southbound units.

NZ Transport Agency Waka Kotahi advised at 3.05pm that the road had reopened to one lane under stop/go traffic management. Southbound is still closed.

Our operations teams are communicating with Bluebridge Ferries and our drivers on the ground.

Update 5:25pm

All Hall’s units are on the move, with rough ETA arrival in Wellington Bluebridge between 7:45pm - 8pm. Bluebridge will alert their team and are aware of the critical nature of our freight.

We are hopeful of no further delays on the road and that we will arrive at Bluebridge within the estimated timeframe, and that our freight will be loaded.

All units made it to Bluebridge on time for sailing.
